BLAZE SUMMER 2011

Join Blaze in a creative mix of fun and games, performances and unique events.

Young producers across the county have teamed up with a fantastic range of artists to create a programme of work that will surprise and delight residents and visitors to Lancashire and the Fylde Coast this summer.

Making new connections between people and places, sport and arts and physical and digital worlds in the lead up to London 2012.

All events are free and family friendly.

26th August – Burnley youth festival event, Towneley Park

29th August – Blaze Culture Jam (date to be confirmed) Accrington Skate Park

1st September – The Arena, Winter Gardens, Blackpool

Plus… the Blaze Boom Bike will be touring the county, attending events, and giving performances and workshops along the way

Blaze is part of WE PLAY and delivered in partnership with Lancashire County Council, Blackpool Council and Creative Lancashire.

WE PLAY is funded by Legacy Trust UK, an independent charity set up to help build a lasting cultural and sporting legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. WE PLAY is led by new regional partnerships and managed by Arts Council England.
