Urban Culture Jam

In 2011, the Urban Culture Jam Festival was brought to you by young people from Clayton-le-Moors youth centre with Spearfish.

Showcasing the best in local, regional and international talent, artists including Street Style Surgery, Zeds, Dhamak Beats, MC TL came together for a fusion of live music, DJ’s, dance, BMX, skateboarding, scootering, free running, fashion and graffiti art.

In the lead up to the Urban Culture Jam in Accrington, Blaze also went along to Three Points at Sandygate Square, Burnley, where Best Joined Up were holding a day of outdoor Live Illustration, and to Burnley Borough Council’s Parktastic event at Towneley Park.  The Blaze Boom Bike brought MCing and beatboxing to these events as part of a the wider Urban Culture Jam programme.
