Under the Town

Under the Town is a new festival which took place at Winter Gardens in Blackpool in September 2011, bringing together the very best in young people’s music, visual arts, fashion and dance.

An exciting line up of North West bands and singer/songwriters were showcased, with headline acts including The Cold One Hundred, The Locals and Karima Francis (pictured – source www.last.fm/music/Karima+Francis).  Film, photography and fashion shows were also included in the line up, showing creative work by young people in collaboration with artists such as Me & Yu and Claire Pepper.

Under the Town was organised and produced by young people from Blackpool as part of their Arts Award with Blackpool Arts Service.
