The Boom Bike Band is a band like no other! From oompah tunes to melodies from Ethiopia, splashing on some beat box grooves and hip-hop lyrics, the band create a truly unique new sound experience.

Not only do the band play a wide array of eclectic music, but they also have a one-of-a-kind P.A. system, built onto a bike!  The Boom Bike, created by Dan Fox from Sound Intervention (who also plays the tuba in the Band) is a unique invention that has wowed audiences across the North West over the past two years.

The band was formed in 2011, as a co-porduction between More Music, Sound Intervention and Blaze, and they have already played at many high profile events including the prestigious street theatre event Mintfest, where they are making an apperance again this year.

Applications are now open for the Boom Bike Big Band Summer School which will see the band grow to include up to 35 musicians and performers for a special performance at Blaze Festival.
