Hello! I am 16 years old, and amongst the piles of work and revision for school, I manage to find time to play piano, clarinet, bassoon and various other musical instruments that I can lay my hands on! By playing such a large amount of instruments, I do class myself as a slight nerd.. and I guess I don’t improve the situation by attending the County Youth Orchestra… However, I am also a singer/songwriter! And if that’s not cool, then I don’t know what is. I also love drama, and am a member of the youth theatre at the Dukes (which I have been for seven years now!). It is tremendous fun, and produces fantastic results like THE UNSOCIABLES (Spring 2012) which I am proud to be part of. Creative arts like these play big roles in my lives, and I think that it would be natural to progress into a career of them in one form or another.. I just haven’t decided which one yet!
Blaze is a brilliant organisation, and my role within it is one that I think will help me if I choose a career in music. I have also attended the Blaze Youth Forum days, which are a great insight to the workings behind it, and helps young people to understand the general goings-on of an organisation like Blaze.
