Call out for Board Members

Blaze is looking to recruit a Board of Trustees.
Founded in 2012 as an Olympic Games legacy project, Blaze produces youth-led arts events, festivals and leadership opportunities to development opportunities for young people of all abilities across the North West. Our aim is to develop the next generation of cultural producers. We also work with organisations across the region to support them to develop and amplify youth-voice, research and consultation.
Projects in the last twelve months have included an acclaimed youth-led festival, "Blaze Festival" which saw a group of 30 young producers shape and lead on a festival from conception to completion, a magazine "Culture on a Shoestring" led and written by young people and "Blaze Transformers" an imaginative project that embeds young people in the creative design and decision making of "Re-Imagining the Harris"
Blaze is going through an exciting period of growth and development. At present, Blaze is currently legally managed by and sits within the charity structure of Curious Minds. Curious Minds will support Blaze to transition into becoming a fully independent organisation with a positive future. We will achieve this by working with Counter Culture LLP
We have an excellent team who continue to innovate, pursue excellence and drive the company forward.
We are looking for Trustees with energy, commitment and expertise in the following areas:
- Artistic expertise & leadership
- Communications & marketing
- Cultural development and international cultural relations
- Commercial enterprise & entrepreneurship
